Up front, I have constant and persistent foot pain. I’ve tried generic commercial solutions and never got relief so I’d decided it was time for custom orthotics. The starting price of custom orthotics is expensive and I wasn’t sure if I would get relief. I was referred to the Journey Insoles app from a friend who swore by the company behind the tech. Basically, the app relies on the iPhone camera front facing camera to scan the foot of the individual. The company uses the scan to make a computer generated 3D model of each foot and then fits an orthotic to each foot. Needless to say, I was skeptical of the process but I’m not any more. I got my pair after 2.5 weeks and have been using them persistently for a month now and I’ll never go back to the commercial insoles. These aren’t free by any stretch of the imagination, however they are fantastic quality and should last a long time.
